Position: full sun with a little shade during the hottest part of the day Soil: freely draining in winter, but able to hold some moisture during the warmer months Rate of growth: fast Flowering period: May to July Hardiness: frost hardy (may need winter protection) A bright splash of pink will grace any border edge, window box or rock garden with this magnificent, alpine gem. From its cushion of evergreen leaves, ‘Alpino Pink’ will surprise and delight from late spring to midsummer when it really starts to dazzle with its bevy of beautiful flowers. Garden care: Trim back after flowering, avoiding autumn and spring. Water moderately when actively growing and avoid winter wet. A light top-dressing of sharp sand after flowering will promote tight clumps, and help with surface drainage in order to prevent root rot.
