Position: full sun or partial shade Soil: well-drained soil Rate of growth: fast-growing Flowering period: June – July Hardiness: fully hardy Brilliant red flowers on tall flower spikes are produced from late spring.This perennial lupin has a delicious peppery scent and looks great planted at the middle or back of a garden border. It can also be planted up in pots on the patio too. Remember to deadhead after flowering and protect against frost damage by covering the crown of the plant. Garden care: Stake with bamboo canes in spring before the flowers appear and deadhead the faded blooms to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect young plants from slug and snail attack.
