The flowers are large and showy. It also has the ability to produce a second flush of flowers later in the season if the first flush is cut back after it has faded. Ideal for lining the edges of a path, offering a long season of interest to a patio pot, or filling gaps at the front of a sunny border. Garden care: Cut back the stalks after the flowers have faded to retain a compact shape. Carefully trim back in April, taking care not to cut into old wood.
