Position: full sun or partial shade Soil: fertile, moist or well-drained soil Rate of growth: average Flowering period: June to August Hardiness: fully hardy The lobed foliage of this new form has a ruffled trim, which gives the plant a textural quality, while the warm caramel-pink and burgundy-flushed colouring really makes it stand out against a backdrop of green or purple. When grown in good light, it will form a dense, rounded dome, which makes it ideal for pots – or for lining the edges of a pathway or border. Garden care: Keep well watered and remove tatty foliage in autumn. Lift and divide clumps every couple of years in early autumn and re-plant with the crown just above the surface of the soil. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the base of the plant in spring.
