In late spring and early summer single urn-shaped, white flowers are produced, followed by large red berries. Like all Gaultheria, it is best to plant a male and female bush next to each other. (the male variety is ‘Mascula’) together to ensure a good crop. This is an attractive shrub which prefers acidic soil. Garden care: Lightly trim after flowering or prune any shoots that soils the shape of the shrub. Remove suckers to help restrict growth.
