Therefore, you should try to keep them close to a seating area, pathway, open door or window – and breath deeply each time you pass! Forming a low, bushy mound of lustrous, evergreen foliage, it’s said to be hardier than most (it has survived short periods down to -10C), so it’s a much better option for the British climate – particularly if you live in a milder region or have a sheltered garden. Garden care: Keep it potted up, so if your garden receives hard frosts, it can easily be moved from a sunny patio in summer to an unheated conservatory or greenhouse in winter. Feed with a balanced liquid feed once a month and water freely with soft water during the growing season. Keep the compost reasonably dry throughout winter. Top-dress or pot on using ericaceous compost and lightly trim over-long shoots immediately after flowering has finished.
