Once established, this relatively short-lived, evergreen perennial has good drought tolerance, produces lashings of flowers for the vase, and attracts a range of pollinating insects. Garden care: Plant with a scoop of well-rotted compost or manure in the planting hole. Once established, ‘Pastel Patchwork’ requires little attention although you may wish to protect with horticultural fleece where frosts are very severe or prolonged.
