Lady in Red is bold, brash and brilliant with its disheveled, randomly placed frills…this is no shrinking violet…it’s not even a violet! In bloom from May to August, plonk this perfumed pink with some equally dazzling Pelargoniums for a striking summer display in a pot, border or vase! Garden care: Prefers soil enriched with well-rotted manure or garden compost and an application of a balanced fertiliser in spring. Dianthus should be trimmed back lightly after flowering to promote new growth at the base of the plant. Prune more closely in spring, as new shoots emerge to maintain a tidy shape.
