Position: full sun Soil: fertile, well-drained soil Rate of growth: average Flowering period: June to July Hardiness: fully hardy A free-flowering delphinium with eye-catching, salmon-red, semi-double flowers. ‘Red Lark’ has a compact growth habit, perfect for more exposed gardens and can be used further forward in the border or planted near windows to enjoy from within the house. Garden care: Stake with bamboo canes in mid-spring. During the growing season apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks and while wearing gloves, prune the faded flower-stems to a flowering side-shoot. At the end of autumn cut back and compost the spent blooms.
