Position: full sun Soil: moderately fertile, well-drained, preferably neutral or alkaline soil Rate of growth: average to fast-growing Flowering period: March to May Hardiness: fully hardy This wonderful, easy-to-grow, mat-forming spring gem will happily spread as ground cover for borders and rockeries with its grey-green leaves and profuse lavender-blue flowers. Great for coastal, and informal cottage garden situations, or those tricky, well-drained banks and slopes, ‘Audrey Sky Blue’ also makes a compact and dense carpet of colour for pots and is attractive to a wide range of pollinating insects. Garden care: Avoid waterlogging, particularly in winter, and to keep the plants looking bushy, cut them back hard immediately after flowering. This may also encourage a second, less prolific, flush of flowers.
