Position: full sun Soil: well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil Rate of growth: average Flowering period: June to August Hardiness: fully hardy Vibrant purple-pink flowers form in bobble-like clusters on top of the upright stems in summer. These seem to hover above the clumps of rich green foliage, and as they fade, papery seedheads follow on. A tough and undemanding sun-lover, it will become drought tolerant once established and will flourish in a seaside location. Garden care: Remove spent flowerheads after they have faded.
